Yesterday, I received an email from an independent candidate for U.S. Senate in Alaska, Margaret Stock, which pointed out that she is a retired Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve and a former professor at West Point. In her email, Stock stated that she had served alongside and mentored soldiers “who have given their lives for our country.” It would be difficult for me to find anything more nonsensical than that. Does she really mean what she says? Or is it just political pabulum? Show me U.S. one soldier — just one — in the past 65 years who has died for his country or, as others assert, in the defense of our freedoms here at home. You can’t do it. Most of those soldiers died because officials within the national-security branch of the federal government ordered to go to some foreign country thousands of miles away, where they were placed in a position of kill or be killed. In fact, many of them were first conscripted (i.e., seized) and then ordered to deploy. Some soldiers volunteered to go and fight in order to improve their chances for promotion. During the Vietnam War I knew of an Air Force colonel who volunteered to go to Vietnam because he was convinced that that was the only way he could make general. I also knew of several officers who were trying to get to Vietnam in the waning stages of the war to pad their combat resumes. One thing is for certain: Contrary to what Stock asserts, the deployment of U.S. troops in wars for the past 65 years have had nothing to do with defending America or the freedom of the American people for one simple reason: America and American freedom were never under attack. Suppose that U.S. troops had not gotten involved in the Korean War in the early 1950s. Ask yourself: How many Americans would have voluntarily traveled to Korea and helped the South Koreans defeat the North Korean communists? Answer: Zero! None! Not one single American would have done that, even if President Truman and his national-security establishment had pointed out the dangers that international communism posed to America. Suppose the U.S. national-security establishment had never invaded Vietnam and simply decided to stay out of that country’s civil war. Suppose President Johnson, the Pentagon, and the CIA told Americans that a victory by North Vietnam would pose a grave threat to U.S. national security because the dominoes would begin falling to the communists, with the big domino (the United States) ultimately falling to the Reds. How many Americans would have traveled to South Vietnam and joined up with South Vietnamese forces to help them prevent a communist victory? Answer: Zero! None! Not one single American would have gone to fight the commies in Vietnam. Suppose George H.W. Bush had refused to involve his army in his war against Iraq in 1991, but had exhorted Americans to travel to the Middle East and join up with forces that were attempting to reverse Iraq’s (i.e., Saddam Hussein’s) invasion of Kuwait. Suppose that Bush had told Americans that while the U.S. government had partnered with Saddam during the 1980s in his war on Iran, Saddam had since become a “new Hitler” who threatened the world. How many Americans would have traveled to the Middle East to join up with forces attempting to liberate Kuwait from Saddam? Answer: None! Zip! Suppose George W. Bush had declined to invade Afghanistan and Iraq after the 9/11 attacks but instead simply put out an arrest warrant and bounty for Osama bin Laden. How many Americans would have traveled to Afghanistan and Iraq to oust the Taliban and Saddam Hussein from power? Answer: None. The only ones who would have gone over there would have been the ones looking for bin Laden in the hopes of collecting a large bounty. If the U.S. government evacuated the Middle East and Afghanistan today, how many Americans would travel to Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Syria or the rest of the Middle East to fight ISIS and prevent it from taking over those countries? Answer: Not one single one, including the infamous neocons who continue to tell us that “national security” is at stake. In fact, if all U.S. troops were ordered to withdraw from that part of the world today, not one single U.S. soldier, including officers and enlisted men, would seek to resign from the U.S. military and travel to Iraq and Afghanistan to prevent ISIS and the Taliban from winning and taking control in that part of the world. So, does all that mean that the American people are cowards? That they are only courageous when it comes to sending the troops to do the fighting for them? That they’re not willing to put their lives on the line in the defense of their country? That they’re not willing to defend their own freedom and the freedom and security of their family members and countrymen? No, it doesn’t mean any of those things. It simply means that the American people are not stupid. The reason they wouldn’t have traveled to South Korea or South Vietnam and helped them to defeat the communists is simply because giving their lives in a civil war thousands of miles away wasn’t worth it to them. If someone had told them that a communist victory in Korea or Vietnam could mean that the Reds would ultimately take over the federal government and run the IRS, they would have summarily rejected that notion as ridiculous. The same holds true for the Middle East and Afghanistan today. Deep down, every American knows that it’s not going to make one whit of difference, insofar as the United States is concerned, if ISIS wins or if the Taliban wins. If they really believed that America’s existence and freedom were at stake, you’d see Americans traveling over there and volunteering to help the Iraqi and Afghan armies. Oh, for sure, most (but certainly not all) Americans would have sympathized with the South Koreans and the South Vietnamese but they never would have gone over there to commit their lives fighting a communist unification of both countries. Now, imagine that the United States were suddenly invaded by the troops of some foreign nation-state. How many Americans would come to the defense of their country, their families, and their freedom? Answer: 98 percent. Everything changes, however, when it comes to the U.S. national-security establishment, the totalitarian apparatus that came into existence with the Cold War. When the national-security establishment says that it’s imperative that U.S. military forces defeat North Korea or North Vietnam or Saddam Hussein or the Taliban or Iran or whoever, everyone hops to, clicks his heels, salutes, and automatically accepts it as gospel. People have converted the Pentagon, the CIA, and the NSA into their god — their idol — and heaven help anyone who dares to criticize what their warrior angels — the troops — do with respect to all those foreign interventions. Suddenly, everyone’s mindset changes. “The troops in Korea are dying for our freedom!” “The troops are dying in Vietnam for their country.” “The troops are dying in Afghanistan and Iraq for their country and our freedom.” It’s all a crock. They’re dying because the national-security state deemed it necessary to involve the United States in overseas conflicts whose participants never invaded the United States or threatened our nation or our freedom in any way. It’s been a racket since the day the national-security establishment was grafted onto our original governmental system. It’s the national-security state that has gotten America into all these unnecessary wars and conflicts. And they’re not stopping. They’re now provoking two other major nuclear powers, Russia and China. If anyone thinks that nuclear war isn’t possible, he is naïve to the extreme. Yesterday, the New York Times reported that suicides among soldiers who have experienced repeated deployments to the Middle East and Afghanistan are suffering record suicide rates. We all know about the family violence, the alcoholism, the drug addiction, and the depression that U.S. troops who have fought in that part of the world are experiencing. And of course there are the dead — the soldiers who, we are told, made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom. It’s all one great big lie, one that people feel is necessary to keep intact at all costs, just like everyone was expected to admire the emperor’s new clothes. The naked truth is that U.S. soldiers who died in all those overseas military adventures died for nothing — that is, they died for something that no American would have been willing to die for if the U.S. national-security establishment had not gotten America embroiled in those (illegal and unconstitutional) wars. As our ancestors understood so well, there will always be monsters in the world in the form of such things as tyrannical dictatorships, civil wars, and famines. (See John Quincy Adams’ July 4, 1821, address to Congress entitled “In Search of Monsters to Destroy.”) America, Adams said, would not send soldiers abroad to slay any of those dragons but instead would serve as a sanctuary for people fleeing those monsters. He also pointed out that if America ever abandoned this non-interventionist philosophy, it would inevitably change America in drastic ways, for the worse. Who can argue that he was wrong? The Cold War national-security state apparatus overturned that non-interventionist philosophy, committing America to a perpetual crusade to slay monsters overseas. That’s what every U.S. soldier has died for and sacrificed for during the past 65 years — not for freedom, not for our country but instead for such things as regime-change operations, coups, partnerships with dictators, and other vital interests of the national-security establishment, all with the aim of keeping that old Cold War dinosaur, the national security state, in perpetual existence. The sooner Americans, including the troops, acknowledge this truth, as discomforting as it might be, the better off America and the troops will be, because then we can restore a constitutional republic to our land and make America, once again, a peaceful, harmonious, prosperous, and free country. Border Dressed As Osama Bin Laden
by Patrick Howley | Daily Caller | August 11, 2014 Investigative filmmaker James O’Keefe exposes the U.S.-Mexico border’s vulnerability to terrorism in his latest undercover project, obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller. O’Keefe’s Project Veritas video reminds viewers of recent statements by the president and Obama administration officials that the southern border is secure. O’Keefe then proceeds to Hudspeth County, Texas, to easily cross back and forth cross the Rio Grande wearing the costume of modern history’s most recognizable terrorist.
“I see no border patrol. I see no security,” O’Keefe said in the video before donning a bin Laden mask. “Thousands of people have stood in my footsteps right now. They’ve come from South America, Honduras, Guatemala, and they’ve all crossed the border. And if they can cross, anybody can cross.” (RELATED: The Time Fidel Castro Snuck Into America From Mexico) O’Keefe’s work often distinguishes itself for proving taboo but accurate premises – in this case, that Islamic extremists are able to gain entry to the United States from Mexico, where drug cartels are linked to numerous terrorist organizations including Hezbollah and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS), the strongest al-Qaida-like organization in the heart of the Middle East. This summer has seen a whirlwind of terrorist activity on the southern border, with dire anecdotes pouring out of local news stations but ignored by the mainstream press. Security contractors found a Muslim prayer rug on the Arizona border, where 300 extremists affiliated with al-Qaida’s Somalia syndicate al-Shabab recently entered the United States unaccounted for. Terrorist watch-list suspects were also detained trying to get into the country through California. Country music legend Charlie Daniels revealed that, “I personally spoke with an Arizona law enforcement officer who had taken four what he called ‘Taliban’ out of the back of an 18 wheeler.” Relevant on the contemporary merits, O’Keefe’s video also makes an important symbolic point thirteen confusing years after the attacks of 9/11. The terrorists we’re fighting today are more technologically savvy than their idol Osama bin Laden, the self-designed political figure who tried to fire history’s loudest shot. But their motives have not changed. And they have access to the United States.
How could there be a War on Terror and actually say that we're having a war against terrorism, and leave the borders wide open? If you were the President of the United States, or I were the President of the United States, and 9/11 really happened the way they want us to believe it happened, the first thing you would do is shut down the borders, so people couldn't get in the country to harm you. Super Bowl Hijack Proves Government Cannot Man penetrates multi-million dollar security ring with Paul Joseph Watson The much vaunted multi-million dollar security ring put in place at taxpayer expense for this year’s Super Bowl was easily penetrated by a man with a fake pass and an excuse that he was “late for work,” yet another example of how government security theater cannot protect you and is a colossal waste of money.
Prior to the big game, authorities boasted of their lavish preparations for Super Bowl 2014 – bomb sniffing dogs, 700 extra troopers, a 24-hour FBI command center, a vast network of surveillance cameras, the ‘See Something, Say Something’ snitch program in full force, TSA agents, snipers, no fly zones, helicopter patrols. The bill for all this – which ran into tens of millions of dollars – was paid for by taxpayers despite the NFL already getting a sales tax break at a further cost of $8 million to residents of New Jersey. Also remember that the NFL is tax exempt and pays no federal income tax on its vast profits. However, 30-year-old Matthew Mills made a mockery of all this when he crashed a post-game press conference to tell the viewing millions that the 9/11 attacks were, “perpetrated by people in our own government,” urging them to “investigate 9/11,” before being dragged away. How did Mills penetrate the fearsome ring of steel erected around the MetLife Stadium? He used a fake pass from an old music festival and claimed he was “late for work.” Mills hopped on board an employee bus headed for the stadium and relied on the same excuse every time he was confronted by security. “I just said I was running late for work and I had to get in there,” Mills told NJ.com. “It was that simple.” “I didn’t think that I’d get that far,” Mill said. “I just kept getting closer and closer. Once I got past the final gate and into the stadium, I was dumbfounded.”
Mills’ actions left NJ.com’s A.J. Perez to wonder, “With all of the millions spent on security, how safe is the Super Bowl anyway?” Although Mills used his opportunity to send a warning about false flag terrorism staged by governments, his actions proved that governments, no matter how much money they spend on invasive and unconstitutional security measures, cannot protect the public from terrorists. What if Mills had been an Al-Qaeda militant (you know, the kind that the State Department affords VIP access)? What if his intention had not been a ‘truth bomb’ but an actual bomb? In addition to the ease with which Mills made it through security, Infowars reporters said that their tickets were not even checked at any point of the journey to and inside the MetLife Stadium, despite John Durkin, special agent in charge of the TSA Newark field office, asserting beforehand that only fans who showed a valid ticket would even be allowed to board the train to the game. It’s unsurprising that authorities have remained silent on how easy it was for Mills to penetrate security, since any admission that they failed would merely reinforce the fact that America’s multi-billion dollar terrorism-fear-security complex is a monumental fraud and a monstrous waste of taxpayer money. While some of those Dice interviewed knew who King was, they seemed blissfully unaware that King died in 1968, shot down in Memphis after devoting 13 years of his life to the civil rights movement. “I just think a lot of people can learn from him, and his legacy should continue on.” another person told Dice, ignorant of the fact that the Nobel Peace Prize winner’s legacy has been living on for four decades already. When Dice asked another man if he would be attending King’s funeral next week, he replied “No, but I wish I could though. He has also regularly enticed people to sign petitions to implement a Nazi police state in America, to support repealing the Bill Of Rights, banning the First and Second Amendments, as well as throwing gun owners in prison, and enforcing mandatory euthanasia of elderly people. Students Sign Petition To Have Gun Owners Executed In Concentration Camps College kids To Activist Prankster: “No Problem!” “sounds about right.” Steve Watson “We just want to make sure we disarm the citizens. We can trust the government to be the only ones with guns.” Dice said to students on campus in San Diego, while they unquestioningly signed the petition to “repeal the Second Amendment.” “These peasants don’t need guns,” Dice stated, adding “We want to put all registered gun owners in prison,” prompting one student to replay “Yes, it’s too dangerous.” for people to own guns. “It’s just a simple repeal of the Second Amendment and we’ll be terminating and executing all of the gun owners.” Dice told another signatory who replied “OK, thank you.” and walked off.
“We are going to ban all guns except for the military and police.” Dice told another student, who signed the petition. “We’ll do door to door confiscations, we have lists of all the registered weapons, so the military will just go and take those away from people.” Dice added. “Ok.” the student replied. Another male student signed the petition even though Dice suggested confiscating gun owners’ weapons and shooting them with them. “If they like their guns so much, lets just feed the gun owners some of their own lead.” Dice ludicrously said. “I didn’t think I could get any more ridiculous.” Dice stated after the student thanked him and went about his day. But he did get more ridiculous. “We need to take these gun owners and put them into FEMA concentration camps to keep everybody safe.” Dice told a skateboarding jock who replied “well I agree with you there, keep them safe.” Although he refused to sign “something I don’t know anything about,” which is something the next student did not consider as he replied “sounds about right” to Dice’s FEMA camp suggestion. Several other students then happily signed the petition, with responses such as “no problem!” as Dice suggested putting Americans in detention camps and killing them. Highlighting how woefully out of touch with US freedoms and rights the youth of America is, Students at UC San Diego failed to name any of the Bill Of Rights when questioned by activist Mark Dice during a recent campus visit. As Dice grabbed passing students to ask them about their knowledge of the first ten amendments to the US Constitution, he drew a mixture of blank expressions and excuses. “Can you name some of the Bill Of Rights?” Dice asked a male student. “Dude, I think I need to take a quiz.” the student replied, clearly desperate to get away because he did not know any of the Bill Of Rights. “I’m quizzing you right now… and this quiz I’m giving you right now is way more important than whatever quiz you’re taking in a few minutes.” Dice told the student.
“I have homework due in two hours.” another student responded, before admitting he could not name any of first ten amendments. “You’re a college student at one of the most prestigious in Southern California, and you don’t know the basic Bill Of Rights, shame on you.” Dice told the young man. “Yeah, yeah, I agree.” the student agreed looking completely mortified. “Oh I don’t know anything about that.” said a female student to Dice’s remark that he was talking about the Bill Of Rights. “You’re going to make me feel embarrassed,” the girl said while laughing as Dice told her she is “part of the problem,” and “the reason this country is going down the toilet.” “I remember studying it, but I don’t remember it,” another student listlessly stated before making the same tired excuse of “I have to go study.” “Are you going to study the Bill of Rights given that you don’t know them,” Dice responded. “No I’m going to study economics,” the student said, prompting Dice to reply “Sure, you’re going to do good in that when you don’t even know The Bill Of Rights.” Of all the people Dice was able to interview on camera, one student was able to name “Freedom of Speech” as part of the Bill Of Rights, before stating “and that’s the only one I know.” “So you just earned a 10%, that’s a big failure,” Dice told him, to which the student said “I’m sorry, how about you name ten of them,” prompting Dice to rattle off all ten amendments in quick succession. “Gotcha, impressive. I appreciate all that information.” The student told Dice before shaking his hand. Just two weeks ago, Media analyst Dice documented how many young Americans are completely disconnected from reality, capturing students signing a fake petition to imprison all legal gun owners in concentration camps and even to have them executed. He has also successfully managed to persuade Americans to agree to repeal the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Amendments, as well as the entire Bill Of Rights (even though many do not know what they are). Beachgoers in San Diego blithely agreed that President Barack Obama should be given the power to completely repeal the Bill of Rights in the name of fighting ISIS in another disturbing insight into the unthinking malaise of many Americans.
Told by media analyst and author Mark Dice that Obama had announced he was to repeal the Bill of Rights in order to “help make sure that we can keep everybody safe here in the homeland,” almost all the respondents agreed that eliminating constitutional rights was perfectly reasonable. Asked, “Is that the right decision – should we get behind Obama to make sure the ISIS threat doesn’t rear its head here in America?,” one man responded, “Yeah I would agree with that,” before adding, “Only time will tell whether it’s the right or wrong decision,” agreeing with Dice that Obama’s political advisors “know what’s best”. When another woman was told that both Republicans and Democrats were supporting the move to repeal the Bill of Rights, she responded, “Well if they’re agreeing on something then maybe it is a good thing,” before Dice adds, “It’s what’s best for the new world order.” “Well, let’s do it, let’s get behind it” urges the woman. Given “what happened overseas in Paris,” another man agrees that if the “experts” think the Bill of Rights should be repealed then Americans should support the move. Dice then interviews a woman who “absolutely” supports the move to repeal the Bill of Rights “for our own good” and to stop ISIS attacks. The woman then admits she is drunk and probably shouldn’t be doing interviews. Another man unflinchingly expressed his view that it would be “best for the country” to repeal the Bill of Rights and “modernize” the new world order. “That sounds great to me,” he exclaims. “Whatever he wants to do it’s probably best for the country,” agrees another woman before adding, “Go Obama!” Dice’s video once again underscores how Americans will dispense with critical thinking and go along with virtually anything if asked about it in a calm and assertive manner. Note how Dice nods his head as he is asking the question, prompting instantaneous fealty and obsequiousness from each individual. Last week, Dice also trolled San Diegans by telling them that Martin Luther King, who was murdered nearly 47 years ago, had just died. Instead of correcting him, the respondents went on to concur with several other erroneous claims, such as King being the first African-American to walk on the moon and the first African-American to appear on Mt. Rushmore. The beachgoers seem to be particularly fervent about relinquishing constitutional rights. In number of separate videos, Dice gets them to agree to repealing the 1st amendment, the 4th amendment and the 5th amendment. In another segment, college students sign a petition to imprison all registered gun owners, while in another video San Diegans support a move to confiscate guns from Tea Party members and repeal the 2nd amendment. This is followed by Comfort interviewing people about Adolf Hitler; their responses indicate a lack of historical knowledge, although he also finds a neo-Nazi who claims to love Hitler.[3] Comfort proposes a hypothetical situation to his interviewees, asking if they would kill Hitler if they had the opportunity at that time in history. He asks more hypotheticals dealing with what his interviewees might do in other circumstances related to the Holocaust. He then switches his topic to make similar comparisons to abortion within the United States and the right to life, personalizing his arguments to make comparisons between the Holocaust and abortion in order to place the interviewees on the spot. The documentary concludes with Comfort stating that over 50 million abortions have occurred to date; he calls this the "American Holocaust".
